Our fully qualified and trusted Gas Safe registered engineers are experts in assessing your gas boiler and appliances to issue gas safety certificates.
Upon installation of a new heat-producing gas appliance by Aren Heating & Plumbing, for a new property or one which did not have gas previously; we will provide you with a ‘Building Regulations Compliance Certificate’. This certificate is an effective way of informing the local authority of your new appliance.
Although it is not a legal requirement for homeowners to have an inspection, we could not express enough, how important it is to have your gas appliances checked and serviced once a year.
Landlord Legalities & Certificates
As per the ‘Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998’, it is the duty of a landlord to make sure all gas appliances, fittings, chimneys, and flues are safe and working efficiently. To ensure the safety of your tenants, all gas appliances and flues must undergo an annual gas safety inspection and be issued with a certificate.
Following an annual gas safety inspection which is carried out by Aren Heating & Plumbing, we will provide you with a ‘Landlord Gas Safety Certificate’ (CP12 Certificate) which will detail all the checks that were undertaken during our visit.
Following our annual gas safety check, you will need to provide a copy of the report to your tenants. By law, a copy of your Landlord Gas Safety Certificate should be given to your current tenants within 28 days of our visit. For new tenants, the certificate should be given to them at the start of their tenancy.
